Coming out on the Nintendo Wii.

This is an event that we are really excited about coming up. We’ve really thought about what we want going on at the shop and from that we decided that in order to be considered a highly recognized authenticated gallery space we won’t just post up art anymore, we are considering if any art that approaches our door fits our concept of our shop. So this event coming up will be our first serious art gallery reception, make sure to come out and check it out, you have nothing else better to do anyways!

The artists chosen to participate in the event are all work in the commercial art field full time in addition to pursuing their personal artwork. Another commonality of these artists is that they all developed much of their experience working in Florida, a region of the country that some regard as being in a state of cultural infancy. In their personal work, many of these artists work beyond traditional media and platforms, displaying their personal vision through design, performance, and curatorial projects.

The exhibit will include a selection of works including paintings, printed matter (t-shirts, prints, stickers), and installations by Dave Rau, Chris Parks, Craig Kaths, Jay Giroux, Josh Pearson, Dustin Orlando, Chris Kelly, Kristen N. Brown, Noah Deledda, and Lynda Bostrom.

Where the store is located we see lots of people riding bikes and to be honest with you, it’s very convenient, if you want to get something to eat, just ride your bike; and what a better way to enjoy the Houston weather (which is really rare) than to ride your bike. But us at the shop we’re not into just getting an old rinky dink bike, we want those vintage BMX’s that we use to ride when we were kids, back in the 80’s and early 90’s.

It’s just a matter time till’ we all get vintage BMX’s.

Here at the shop, we decided that it be really cool if we had some sneakers. Everyone knew a private collector, so we told them that they could sell their shoes at the store. Luckily we started with a few but now we have two cases full. These have never been worn, they’ve been in boxes collecting dust. Here are some photos:
